Volunteers are key to the success of the Credit Union
Community volunteers are essential to the development and delivery of local credit union services. Members of the community have a wealth of local knowledge that will help the credit union establish the type of service, which is suited to individual communities. Volunteers can help by:
  • Suggesting suitable locations for collection points or branches
  • Distributing leaflets around neighbourhoods

  • Encouraging friends and family to join

  • Providing information to people at local information points

  • Utilising existing skills such as fundraising, marketing, administration or training

Volunteers will develop new skills by:
  • Being trained as a community volunteer

  • Learning how to administer a local financial service

  • Using those new skills for personal development

We want volunteers to enjoy their volunteering experience with us. We aim to provide training and support on an ongoing basis. You do not need any prior experience or any particular skills. We have a variety of roles to fill.
